Cool Stuff Media: Intro
Here we are. The Cool Stuff Blog has officially become Cool Stuff Media. To everyone that supported the original iteration of Cool Stuff, thank you so much. This would have never been possible without you. The decision to pull the trigger on changing everything over stemmed from feeling like the original blog had kind of outgrown itself. I still want to maintain the personal feel of the original blog, so the Show Recaps will be continuing, but I’m going to save them for the really special ones. I want this expansion to be the beginning of something really special, so with that comes more ways to document the scene. This is going to include more in-depth covering of shows, videos, interviews, and more in addition to my photography. With this expansion comes a need for more hands, and I’m extremely excited to introduce the Cool Stuff Media Team.
As of now, the Cool Stuff Media Team consists of three people. I, Anthony, am going to continue to be the main photographer for this whole thing. I’m also going to be managing the back end of things here on the website. Randy the Filmer is going to primarily be taking over the show video segments, which I’m super excited about. I’ve been a huge fan of how he shoots his videos for a while now and I’m super excited to have him on board for this whole thing. Crowdsurf Matt, who you probably know from being the first person to stage dive at every show, will be handling the front-of-camera operations for interviews when we get those started. His energy is going to bring a lot of value when we get to talking with some cool bands and artists. There will be a more in-depth team intro post coming pretty soon so you can get to know a little more about all of us.
I have been working tirelessly at carrying everything over to the new website and I am so unbelievably excited for all of you to be able to see it. At the time of this post going live, all of the past show photo galleries have been imported, so feel free to go check out the redesign here. Also, the first ever Cool Stuff show video shot by Randy the Filmer has been added to the site, which you can watch here. Enjoy, take a look around, get comfortable. This is going to be a fun ride.
